Thanks to the cooperation with the Norwegian Correctional Service and its specialists, three training videos "Good Prison Officer", "Dynamic Security" and "Promoting Change" have been created.
The Latvian prison administration has started a personnel training process with the implementation of the adult informal education program "Good Prison Officer" for prison officers from all over Latvia.
The learning methodology is based on the scenes shown in the learning video and their discussion. The discussion format and activities have been chosen as the focus of the study, the purpose of which is to help see future perspectives in the penitentiary field.
It should be emphasized that the training takes place in an integrated environment, bringing together officials from different parts of the institution, thus promoting the understanding of daily situations in different prisons and helping to reach common conclusions as a result of discussions.
