The new training centre will be functional and built in line with international requirements. The training centre will have special premises for improving the correctional staff’s theoretical knowledge and practical skills (prototypes of prison cells), a conference hall, group classrooms, a computer class, a sports complex, a dormitory, Latvian Prison Administration’s Museum, and a library. This will ensure effective staff training and will allow for the preparation of professionals who will be able to ensure modern enforcement of the sentence in the future.
