On 24-26 October 2023, 7 mentors from Romerike Prison in Norway visited Latvia on an exchange visit, within the framework of NFI project activities “Partner consultations”.
The aim of the visit was to introduce Project partners with the operation of Latvian prisons, the training progress of practice managers (mentors), as well as to discuss current issues for improving the training of practice managers in cooperation with the partners.
The Norwegian delegation, with colleagues from Latvian Prison Administration, during the visit attended:
- on 24 October 2023 -Cesis Correctional Institution for Juveniles and Valmiera Prison
- on 25 October 2023 – Olaine Prison (Latvian Prison Hospital), Centre for Addicts of Olaine Prison and Ilguciema Prison
- on 26 October 2023 – Riga Central Prison and Training centre
The visit of delegation takes place within the framework of NFI project “Establishment of Training centre infrastructure and model prison block for training opportunities in the Olaine prison territory”.
